Brown HardboardS
Brown Hardboard is used when one wants a bit of pliability in the board. It is often used for curves or as backings of picture frames or block photos. It is used by artists to paint on with oil paints and gives a lovely rigid but smooth finish.
White HardboardS
White Hardboard is mainly used for the backings of bedroom and kitchen cupboards. It is easily stapled on and gives a clean and fresh look which can be easily wiped down.
Pegboards
Pegboards are used in most shopfitting projects. Remember, we cut it to size and you install. We stock the hooks as well so you can easily setup shop.
MARINE PLYWOOD
Marine Plywood is mainly used in very wet environments. It is strong and durable and handles sea water well. If you have a boat and need a bench seat fitted or the dashboard of a motor boat you would use Marine Plywood which has a special glue and bonding method to ensure no delamination. A sealer or varnish is advisable.
INTERIOR COMMERCIAL PLYWOOD
Interior Commercial Plywood is mainly used for indoor furniture and panelling. It also gets used regularly as insets in doors or backings of antiques and other cabinets.
EXTERIOR COMMERCIAL PLYWOOD
Commercial Exterior Plywood is the little brother of Marine Plywood. This plywood has phenolic glue which is water resistant and can be used outside. However it cannot be exposed to water like Marine Plywood but is adequate for outdoor use. If you want to add or replace a garden shed roof or pool pump cover this would be the plywood you choose. It will still need a coat of varnish for extra protection and longevity. The surface of commercial plywood is generally a hardwood veneer of a few mm thick and cross hatched
EXTERIOR PINE PLYWOOD
Exterior Pine Plywood is similar to the commercial in the sense it also has the exterior glue but the plywood is made from Pine and is thus not as durable as commercial plywood for exterior use. Pine Plywood is usually used for furniture manufacture and backings for cupboards and cabinets.
Tempered HardboardS
This hardboard which is manufactured using linseed oil in the process to give it more durability as an exterior product. Some people use it for outside signage or chicken farmers use it in the cages to round off the corners.
Insulation BoardS
This product is used mainly as a pinning or notice board. It can be painted and framed. It also has insulation properties in it for noise reduction and temperature stabilisation.
OSB
OSB (Oriented Strand Board) is technically not a plywood, as wood chips are layered upon each other at different angles and laminated under pressure using an exterior glue. This board is perfect for construction of interior walls or as panelling for a contemporary look. The 21mm is strong enough to be used for decking.
BIRCH PLYWOOD
Interior Commercial Plywood is mainly used for indoor furniture finish and the fine plywood layers give a lovely finish. Edges can be routered which results in a smooth finish with defined layers. It is mainly used in furniture manufacture due to it beautiful finish.
SHUTTERPLY
As the name describes this plywood is mainly used for shuttering or formwork. It does not have a great face finish and is rough and ready to be used a few times and then dumped. It is also manufactured with an exterior glue and is a cheap option for shelving or decking in a loft roof.
RESIN FACE PLYWOOD
This is the big brother of Shutterply and comes at a premium. The resin layer on both sides comes in a dark brown to black finish and is perfect for shuttering and formwork. If you want a super smooth finish and a product that can be used many times over, then this is the product for you.
